Our review for this week focuses on highlights of stories that feature NWRA and its actions in the communities.
I. BROADCAST - TELEVISION
1. In this week's review, we start with CRTV (Television and Radio) that reported elaborately on the just ended 10th ordinary session of the North West Regional Assembly and the extraordinary plenary that wrapped up on Wednesday April 19, 2023.
The state owned media recounts: the presentation of 2022 accounts of the Assembly, presentation by the Representative of State, Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique on the state of the Region, the adoption of the Regional Development Plan and the 2023 budget adjusted.
2. Dash Media this week focused on the message of the Representative of State to the Regional councillors, during the just ended 10th ordinary session of the Assembly, who were charged to carry out their duties diligently as the population looks up to them in hope and expectation. Governor Lele further challenged the councillors to ask themselves this pertinent question "what has been my personal contribution in this Assembly and in my constituency to consolidating peace and working for return to normalcy?"
II. BROADCAST - RADIO
Away from Television, this week, CRTV Radio Bamenda, Ndefcam Radio, Dream FM Radio, Abakwa FM, CBS Radio and a whole host of our partner proximity radios, all talked prominently on news items ranging from the highlights of the just ended 10th session of the Assembly, 2023 project activities and 2022 realised projects of NWRA etc.
III. PRINT - NEWSPAPERS
Cameroon Tribune of Tuesday April 18, 2023 features the North-West Regional Assembly Executive Council President's call to unite and work in collaboration for peace. This was during the opening of the 10th ordinary session of the Assembly. Read more on this, on page 4 of the said paper.
L'action newspaper, issue N0 1414 of 19 April 2023, highlights on: North West Regional Assembly commits to fight illicit drug consumption. Anchoring on the Presidential decree of February 10, 2023, laying down terms of powers devolved to the Region in the Health sector. The Guardian Post newspaper, issue N0 2765 of Wednesday April 19, carries on its front page: The North West Regional Assembly evaluates 2022 strides, reviews key 2023 projects. Read more on this, on page 9 of the above mentioned edition.
And in Municipal Updates, issue N0 490 of Tuesday April 18, 2023, we have as one of its front page headline: North West Regional Assembly calls for joint efforts to crusade for peace. Get details of that on page 6 of the said paper.
